Digital Signage, an ECM niche

Digital Signage is definitely one off the 'coolest' areas of ECM.  It's loud, proud and promises to deliver ROI!  ...what more could those who via for the American consumer's attention ask for!  

As with any good blog post, I did not choose this topic, it chose me.  I'm spending a large percentage of my time with Digital Signage vendors around the country.  They all seem to be looking for experienced sales people...which leads me to believe it's the industries greatest current challange.  (Of course it could mean just the oppisite, that sales are SO good that they need more sales staff to handle the demand, but then I would expect to see an equal amount of openings for technicians and installers...and this is not the case.)

Regardless, the digital signage market is terribly interesting for anyone who spends time thinking about ECM.  

I have too many intruiging observations to share for one post, so instead, I will break up the following topics over the next few days/weeks.

1)  Why have I suddenly been discovered and referred to work with so many digital signage companies?

Interesting beginning. I have been around the ECM industry for 20 plus years and have not made this logical connection. I await your next posts to provide the enlightenment.
